Why have you chosen this journey back in time in particular?
At first we were ready to remix Good Vibrations from Marky Mark ,but after watching some funny videos of him in youtube we found the link to his brother band, the New Kids on the Block and his superhit SbS. We used to dance that track in all the parties when we were kids, and it reminds us those funny times.

Why have you chosen this journey back in time in particular?
We are very influenced by the 80s so we wanted to try to visit somewhere out of our comfort zone, a little unexpected, a different decade, and a different coast (west coast instead of east). Fleetwood Mac was one of the last good LA bands and their story resonates with us.

For me it's timeless. It is a reminder that some works of art apply to many people throughout the years.

How do you think a cover of How Long will sound in 20 years time?
I'm pretty sure it will hold up and still be a catchy tune in 2029.

A bit of nostalgia... a nod to liverpool from our guitarist, Chris, who's from there.

Nostalgia or tribute?
Both! At our HQ, The Jolly Roger, we've got a great collection of post punk vinyl records. We love that era, the dirty glamour, the glory and the tragedy. They were also great musicians - the audio tracks aren't manipulated to the hilt to maintain the listener's interest. Twas an era of substance over presentation: the good old days!

How do you think a cover of Replay will sound in 20 years time? Since music right now sounds a lot like 20 years ago, a cover of Replay in 20 years time may sound a lot like now, with a futuristic twist of course

Why have you chosen this journey back in time in particular?
Both myself and Glen were always Lloyd Cole fans and his music was very much the soundtrack to our tween generation. Also the song 2CV is about a Citroen 2CV and when I first met Glen I was driving a Citroen Diane 6, which basically the same car.

More like "investigation". We were interested in finding out how they constructed their songs. We liked the chords… it reminded us of what we do sometimes. Our group is now set up like Pet Shop Boys as well. 2 full-time members. Same equipment set up, same ambitions for writing good pop music.

Nostalgia or tribute?
Tribute. But I really wanted a challenge. And it turned out to be quite difficult to turn a 90 BPM 80ies Popsong into a 2010 wobbling bassmonster. It was because the original's so unique and cheesy. When you hear that in a club you immediately piss your pants laughing because you just cant believe this is happening.

Nostalgia or tribute?
Definitely tribute - we're not interested in our records sounding 30 years old! We really wanted to update the sound of the original, but there are a few production nods to Kraftwerk in there as well; this was the perfect excuse to dust down our laser-gun snare sounds!

This remix came out by accident. At the beginig I had the main riff of the song but it needed some vocals so I took The Ultra natÈ-Free Acapella just to see what kind of vocals could work on it. And at the end it fit so well that I decided to make the whole remix..

1985 was a big year for me. That was the year my family moved to Canada from Hong Kong, and consequently the year I was first formally introduced to Western Pop Music. I was 6 and it was around the time I started to pay attention to music. Heidi was only 3 at the time and was big fan of sesame street.

Music was actually never a big part of my household growing up - my parents don't play instruments and they only had a small vinyl collection. As a result I found most music on my own (who knows how) and even at a young age (9 or 10) I remember asking for tapes for birthdays or Christmas from artists like Miles Davis or Hall & Oates. Speaking of Christmas, how much did I love listening to (as most kids did) "Christmas With The Chipmunks" around the holidays!
